Even 56 years after Neil Armstrong first stepped foot on the Moon, it seems some people still don’t believe that we’ve actually been there.
There are plenty of conspiracists who think we’ve never been up there, meaning all those missions to explore the cosmos, set up the International Space Station, and bring back ‘stranded’ astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were all faked on a studio backlot.
More than this, controversial UFC fighter and known flat Earther Bryce Mitchell claims that space doesn’t exist at all.
So, just what are we looking up at when the Sun goes down?
In an interview with The MMA Guru, Mitchell took aim at Elon Musk and his endeavours with SpaceX, spectacularly claiming it’s all a ruse.
After referring to Musk as the Antichrist, Mitchell went on to say: “You know our power grid can’t even support electric cars. His electric cars suck they cost way too much and they do too little. About SpaceX, total lie he’s, never been to space, space don’t exist.”
Michell then discusses the idea of the firmament, which is a celestial barrier that separates Earth from heaven: “There’s something called a firmament, people don’t understand biblical cosmology. For 2,000 years people have known about the firmament. Elon Musk knows about the firmament but he deceives people, he makes people think he goes into space, and this, and that.”
He called SpaceX and Tesla ‘fraudulent’ and then claimed Neuralink has the ‘mark of the beast’, again implying musk is the Antichrist.
Continuing his tirade, Mitchell concluded: “He [Musk] walks in wickedness, he wears the upside down cross and the Christians trust him. What kind of Christian are you to trust Elon Musk you dumb b*stards?”
When asked what he thinks of President Donald Trump, Mitchell seemingly foreshadowed WWIII and said: “There’s going to be a war in our generation that’s the biggest war that has ever took place on this planet, and it is brewing right now.
“That’s all I have to say, I don’t have to say anything, look at the bodies.”
Mitchell is never one to hold his tongue, having previously called Hitler a ‘good guy’, opposing seatbelt laws, and saying that NASA is concealing the actual (flat) shape of the Earth.
He tried to prove the Earth is flat in a social media video where he drew a helicopter and said the Earth doesn’t rotate because it’s ‘basic geometry’.
Saying it wouldn’t be possible to fly a at 15,000 feet if the Earth were rotating at 1,000 mph, Mitchell mused: “I think no one will disagree once I explain it… Keep doing your own research, because there’s no proof the Earth rotates. That’s a lie from the devil.”
