“I love teaching children, it’s my calling But I earn much more on the internet.” She had only recently launched her OnlyFans and says the financial difference was clear from the beginning. According to her, she made more in just one day than she would earn in an entire month at her teaching job.

Elena insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong by sharing lingerie photos online.
On her profile, she wrote: “I see nothing wrong with exalting one’s own femininity and sensuality.”
The situation has kicked off a bigger conversation across Italy, with many siding with her. Trade unions have come out in her defense. Alvise Sponza, general secretary of the Cgil Flc in Treviso, weighed in, saying: “Whoever intends to fire her does not have the law on their side.”

In response, the Ministry of Education said it plans to review its 2023 guidelines for public employees. A new section may be added to specifically address how teachers can use social media.
Elena, who has a degree in Educational Sciences and five years of experience teaching in Catholic nursery schools, says she still lives with her parents — who know about and support her online work.

“I still live with my parents. [Joining OnlyFans] was a test: I posted a few photos and the profile exploded.”
“I think it was a mother or father of one of my students [who exposed Elena]. They recognised me thanks to my profile photo.”
“The matter became public knowledge on Facebook groups for mothers…. but there are some mothers who want to support me.”
“They want me to continue teaching their children.”

She’s already started studying to become a personal trainer. Elena believes the fitness industry is more open-minded and welcoming when it comes to personal choices and self-expression.
